Starting from the Alcantara Gorges, we continue on dirt roads and nature trails towards Castiglione di Sicilia, a renowned wine city, which offers a breathtaking viewof the Valley. The route continues towards Linguaglossa, crossing trails from which you can admire the most distant craters of the Etna system and the Vulcanetto di Mojo Alcantara, covered with plants typical of the Mediterranean scrub.We continue crossing numerous lava flows dating back to eruptions that occurred at different times in the history of Etna. We visit the Corruccio cave, one of the numerous caves on this side, to then reach Piano Provenzana, at an altitude of 1850m.For nature lovers, we offer the possibility of visiting the craters formed following the 2002 eruption that destroyed the tourist resort of Piano Provenzana or, through expert guides, be accompanied to the summit craters.
